31 Days Of I Love Myself Enough : Day 13

DAY THIRTEEN: I LOVE MYSELF ENOUGH TO TRUST MYSELF
There was a time when I didn’t trust my feelings, my intuition, or my own ability.
I used to worry about making the ‘wrong’ decision.
I looked to other people for reassurance that I was doing the ‘right’ thing. I put people on pedestals..
I constantly criticised and judged myself and was also judged and criticised by other people and began to feel that I didn’t know what I was doing. I suffered from self-doubt.
I spent years listening to other people’s opinions and valuing their opinion over my own that I stopped listening to myself.
I made decisions that didn’t turn out all that well and so I became scared of getting it ‘wrong’ again.
Louise Hay taught me the importance of loving and accepting myself and I believe that trusting myself is an expression of loving myself.
I am human. I make mistakes. I am allowed to make mistakes. I am allowed to change my mind. I am allowed to learn, grow and make different choices as I discover more about myself and what I truly want from life.
Trusting yourself doesn’t mean you’ll always get everything right. It means trusting yourself to navigate life, even when things don’t go according to plan.
It means listening to that quiet inner voice rather than allowing fear, self-doubt or other people’s expectations to make your decisions for you.
It means recognising that you don’t need everyone else’s approval to honour what feels right for you.
It means giving yourself permission to say no when something doesn’t feel right, to say yes to the things that light you up, and to walk away from situations that no longer feel healthy or aligned with who you are becoming.
And perhaps most importantly, it means learning to trust yourself enough to know that, whatever happens, you will support yourself through it.
You don’t have to have all the answers today. You don’t have to know exactly how everything will work out. You simply need to begin believing that you are capable of finding your way.
One of the most loving things we can do for ourselves is to stop abandoning our own feelings, needs and inner knowing just to keep other people happy.
And if you’ve spent years doubting yourself, please be gentle with yourself as you learn a new way of being.
You deserve the same patience, understanding and compassion that you so readily offer to others.
So today, let’s make a commitment to ourselves to listen a little more closely to our inner wisdom, to stop questioning our worth, and to remember that we are allowed to trust the person we are becoming.
Today’s affirmation:
I LOVE AND TRUST MYSELF. If this feels like a step too far then affirm I AM BEGINNING TO LOVE AND TRUST MYSELF 🙏
Sending you all so much love from my heart to yours 💜
