Remember to Fill Your Own Cup Regularly

Hi beautiful people,
First of all, may I offer my sincere apologies for the break in sending you all my newsletter?
There are a few reasons for this, including a bereavement (not mine but my lovely VA who puts this together for me).
Anyway, to this week’s newsletter!!
Some of you may have already put your Christmas trees and decorations up and others may be wondering when you are going to fit it all in with everything else you have to do!!
It seems that at this time of year our ‘To Do’ lists multiply a thousand- fold!!
And we are in danger of really neglecting ourselves and our own well-being and self-care.
We start to empty our cup… and it becomes emptier by the day until, finally, there is nothing in it, it’s dry!!
Please DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO DO THAT.
And please don’t allow your cup to become so empty before you do anything about it!!
I invite you instead, to refill your cup on a daily basis until it’s overflowing!! It’s much better to serve from a cup that’s overflowing than one that’s almost empty.
Think of ways you can fill your own cup daily.
Here are a few suggestions:
- Switch your mobile phone off!! Giving yourself a break from social media will help you to refill your cup. It will also give you much needed time.
- Go for a walk in nature. Nature is wonderful for helping you to recharge and to reconnect and ground yourself.
- Read a book that doesn’t require you to think!! (I’ve been doing a lot of this this year and I find it very relaxing)
- Meditate. There are so many benefits to meditate, Do your own research.
- Listen to inspirational talks/podcasts. I do this every day!!
- Start a gratitude journal if you don’t already have one and if you have one, make sure you practice every day
- Be mindful of who you are spending time with. Some people will lift you up and others will bring you down.
- Be mindful of your self-talk and words. Everything is energy.
- Exercise; yoga, pilates, Tai Chia; anything that makes you feel good
- Have fun!! Watch a comedy show (I love watching, Would I Lie to You). Laughing releases your endorphins and makes you feel good.
It’s time to pay attention to how you’re feeling now.
Ask yourself, how empty is your cup?
And whatever you do, make sure you are refilling it EVERY DAY!!
Your choice, as always.
Sending you so much love from my heart to yours.
Lynn
