Focus on Kindness

Hi beautiful people

Last Saturday I hosted another of my Queen for a day retreats with 10 incredible women.

Spending the day with these women, some of whom I had never met before and who had never met each other, was so very humbling.

They were vulnerable in their sharing.

They were vulnerable in digging deep enough to find the courage to even be there.

Some of them had never been on a retreat before.

They were anxious.

They were scared.

They were vulnerable.

Ten different women, all had lived different lives, all had gone through their own experiences.

And yet, what they all want is the same.

To be loved. To feel loved. To receive love.

Love was in abundance last Saturday!!

Reading the testimonials when I got home brought me to tears, one testimonial stood out in particular…

She said ‘Lynn puts everyone at ease immediately, I felt very welcome by a huge hug. Apart from my grandchildren, I never get hugs. So, you have no idea how much I needed one.’

This comment pulled at my heart strings.

In a world where we are only given bad news by the media, where we live in  fear, where we believe that this is all there is… it isn’t!!

While I am writing this and while you are reading this, thousands of acts of kindness are taking place…

  • Women and men are reading bedtime stories to their children…
  • Women and men are feeding their children…
  • People are opening doors for others to walk through…
  • People are giving their seats up on a bus for someone less able to stand…
  • Friends are meeting for lunch and enjoying each other’s company…
  • People are volunteering for charities…
  • People are donating for charities or other worthwhile causes…
  • People are being kind to their neighbours…
  • People are looking after the sick and the elderly…
And on and on it goes…

So many acts of kindness that doesn’t get reported but is happening ALL THE TIME.

This lady on my retreat received a hug and she FELT it and was so grateful for it.

All it takes is for each of us to be kind to others.

  • Smile at strangers.
  • Hug people.
  • Call people who matter in your life and tell them you were thinking about them and tell them how much they mean to you and how much you love them.
  • All of this IS POSSIBLE.
  • And remember to be kind to yourself
  • You are so very worthy.
  • You are so very deserving.
