A Gentle Reminder on the Preciousness of Life

Hi beautiful people,

I hope this message finds you well and grounded. I want to take a moment to share something that’s been weighing heavily on my heart in recent days. Many of you have journeyed with me through Louise Hay workshops, our cherished “Queen for a Day” retreats, and our one-on-one coaching, where we’ve explored healing, self-love, and the gift of life. Today, I want to touch on something that life is reminding me of in a very profound way.

Recently, I lost my beloved nephew, who was only 41 years old. His sudden departure from this world has deeply shaken me, and it has brought the fragility and preciousness of life into sharp focus. We all know, intellectually, that life is fleeting, but when we are faced with such personal loss, it truly calls us to stop and reflect.

In our fast-paced lives, it’s so easy to get caught up in routines, worries, and future plans. But this is a reminder—none of us knows what tomorrow will bring. What we have is this present moment, this breath, this heartbeat.

I have been speaking about this very thing, only today, with a coaching client.

Let us not take any of it for granted

Today, I want to invite you to pause. Take a moment to appreciate the simple, beautiful things in your life. The sound of laughter, the warmth of the sun on your skin, the connection with loved ones. These are the moments that make life rich and meaningful, yet they are so often overlooked.

Here are a few gentle reminders:

  • Say “I love you” often. Whether to yourself, your family, your friends—let thosewords flow freely and without hesitation.
  • Be present. Life happens in the small moments, not in the plans for tomorrow. Slow down, breathe, and truly notice the beauty around you.
  • Express gratitude daily. Even in difficult times, there is always something to be grateful for. Acknowledging these gifts shifts our focus and allows us to see how blessed we are, even in the face of pain. Today I reached out to a handful of people to express my gratitude to each of them. I did not do this to get anything back, yet I also received messages of gratitude from them for my heartfelt messages. Me thanking them created a ripple effect of gratitude.
  • Forgive freely. Holding onto grudges only weighs us down. Life is too short to carry burdens that do not serve our peace.
  • Pursue joy. Don’t wait for the “right time” to enjoy life. The right time is now. Take that trip, make that phone call, indulge in self-care, and say “yes” to what lights you up.

As we’ve learned through our work together, the power of positive affirmation and self-love is transformative. Let’s remind ourselves to affirm the sacredness of life every day. Let’s cherish every moment, and live fully in the present, not waiting for some distant future to bring us peace or joy.

To those of you who are also grieving, or have experienced loss, my heart is with you. Know that you are not alone. Through love, community, and support, we find healing, and we find the strength to honour those who are no longer with us by living fully and with purpose.

In the spirit of love and appreciation, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each of you. Thank you for being part of my life and for the trust you’ve placed in me on your own journey. Let’s continue to uplift one another and honour this beautiful life we’ve been given.
