Happy New Year!!

Hi beautiful people,
Happy New Year to you all!!
How were your Christmas holidays?
I had a VERY DIFFERENT Christmas this time; no Christmas lunch for the first time EVER!!
Why?
Because my mum had been really poorly and not been eating for a couple of weeks and she wasn’t up to the full Christmas lunch, so we just had turkey and stuffing sandwiches.
On Boxing Day her health deteriorated and I ended up calling 999 (the 3rd time in as many weeks), and we spent from 8.30pm until 1pm the following day in A&E.
Thankfully the hospital staff got to the root of the problem after doing a CT Scan and she was discharged with 2 different sets of antibiotics. And she is feeling much better now and her appetite has returned.
As you can imagine, it’s been a very emotional time for all of us, especially for me as I was the one staying with her.
I was exhausted, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
And I have been resting since coming back home to my little sanctuary.
Why do I share this with you?
Because I want to highlight how important self-care is.

Self-care is everywhere now; on social media, news, media, it’s everywhere.
But, it’s no good being everywhere if we don’t practice it!!
I have some questions for you:
How important is self-care to you?
Is it a priority? If not, why not? What are you prioritizing instead?
What does YOUR self-care look like?
Could you bring more self-care into your life?
What do you think self-care is?
I invite you to reflect on these questions, take some time answering them.
If you only set one goal this year; let it be your self-care.
I cannot stress enough how important it is.
Let me know what you do for self-care, let me know what changes you make.
I have mentioned a couple of events coming up at the end of this blog that will help you with your self-care.
This Friday I am off to Llandudno for the weekend.
I have booked myself on a one day self-care retreat.
Divine timing!!
I look forward to fully immersing myself in the day…….
Sending you all so much love from my heart to yours.
Lynn
