Can you answer this question honestly? ‘ How do you feel when somebody criticises you?’
I used to hate being criticised.
It made my body contract. My stomach churned, I felt sick, I wanted the earth to swallow me up, I wanted to cry (and very often I did cry)!!
I couldn’t deal with being criticised.
I was criticised a lot as a child. It was meant to be love but it wasn’t.
As a child I couldn’t handle criticism. As an adult I still couldn’t handle criticism because the child within me feared criticism as did the adult.
If we fear criticism from others and it doesn’t make us feel good, then why would we criticise ourselves?
It just doesn’t make any sense does it?
And yet we can be our own biggest critics!!
If being criticised by others makes us sad, upset, anxious, depressed, and angry, to name a few emotions that we feel when we are being criticised, then why would we want to criticise ourselves?
Surely there must be another way to treat ourselves?

The great new is there is another way!
We can start to be kind and gentle with ourselves, we can start to speak to ourselves lovingly.
We can start to treat ourselves like we would treat our best friend, with love, respect, kindness and gentleness.
Why?
Because we deserve it!!
We all deserve to be loved.
We all deserve to be treated with kindness.
We all deserve to be treated lovingly.
Instead of waiting for other people to do this for us we can start by doing it to ourselves.

STOP ALL CRITICISM OF YOURSELF RIGHT NOW.
And choose to love yourself instead.
When I made this switch my life changed forever!!
And it feels so good!!!
Give it a go and let me know how you got on!
Sending you all so much love from my heart to yours.
Lynn
