Are You Hanging On By A Thread?

Hi beautiful people,
I trust that all is well with you?
So much has happened to me since my last blog and in a GOOD way!!
And since then, I’ve also managed to take a week’s holiday over in my beloved Angelsey.
This month I wanted to talk to you about struggling; are you hanging on by a thread?
Yesterday, I delivered some Stress Management training to over 80 people, and what fascinates me is that most of them were struggling with one thing or another.
It reminded me of the time years ago, when I almost had a nervous breakdown and ended up being off work for 6 months with work related stress.
NEVER AGAIN!!
The thing is, I NEVER ONCE ASKED FOR HELP!!
Why?

Because I didn’t want people to think I was a failure!! A failure as a mum; a failure as wife, a failure as a woman, a failure as a sister, a failure at life itself!!
So, I hung on by a thread for a VERY LONG TIME. Until I burst into tears in a manager’s meeting, finally I knew something was wrong and I needed help.
People don’t have crystal balls (well some people do), but nobody knew my situation was so bad because I didn’t tell them. I wore my mask of ‘ I’m fine’!!
I WASN’T!!
So my invitation to you is, if you are struggling right now ask for help. Ask for support. Because if you keep hanging on by a thread, then one day that thread will break and then you are sliding down that deep black hole which takes a LONG TIME TO GET BACK OUT OF.
It took me a long time to recover from my black hole.

Thankfully, that was the time when I was introduced to Louise Hay via one of her books, ‘ The Power Is Within You.’ I still give a shout out for that book every time I speak to a group.
Please don’t struggle alone sweetheart.
Reach out.
Love yourself enough to ask for help.
And if I can help in any way please let me know.
Sending you all so much love from my heart to yours.
Lynn
