Count Your Blessings EVERY day

Hi beautiful people,
I mentioned last week that it was my intention to write a weekly newsletter every Monday.
Yesterday, due to a prior commitment I found that I could not fulfill that intention.
And, I am always telling you that the Universe works in mysterious ways!
Had I not have gone where I went yesterday, I would not have been inspired to write this week’s newsletter, it would have been about something completely different.
Yesterday, I went to Backup North West’s AGM.
And I spent full afternoon feeling uplifted and inspired.
Backup North West are a charity supporting young people in Bolton who are homeless. This year they are celebrating 30 years!!
The AGM was at Cineworld in Bolton and we watched a film listening to the stories of young people who had been supported by this wonderful charity.
When I heard their stories of family breakdown, sexual abuse, family hardships, mother/daughter relationship breakdowns and so much more, my heart went out to them.
With the support of the charity and their magnificent, caring and supportive staff, many of these young people shared how they moved from being scared and feeling unloved and that they didn’t matter to speaking about how they had enrolled at college, University, and some of them now work for the charity that helped them so much during their darkest times.
I felt uplifted and inspired because these young people learned how to believe in themselves, how to start to have self-worth, and practice self-care. That all they had ever needed or wanted was for just one person to say to them, ‘I believe in you.’ ‘Let me help you.’
I began to put everything else into perspective;

Love matters.
To feel loved.
To be loved.
To give love.
Without love there is only fear.
And fear is toxic.
Fear stops us from living our best life.
Fear paralyses us.
Fear makes us feel ‘less than’.
Fear makes us feel ‘unworthy.’
Fear makes us feel ‘undeserving.’
So, no matter what you have going on in your life right now, I invite you to take a step back and be the observer……..are you living your life from a place of fear or love?
You know the answer.
I invite you to be inspired by these young people and start to believe in yourself.
Despite having some really challenging experiences and feeling as though nobody cared whether they lived or died, with help and support, these young people were able to pick themselves up and create wonderful lives for themselves.
A life where they felt loved, supported, acknowledged and cherished.
Which life are you choosing?
Sending you all so much love from my heart to yours.
Lynn
