Finding Your Way Back to Inspired Action

Have you ever had one of those days (or weeks) where you’re not feeling your mojo? Where everything seems like a mountain to climb? Where you just don’t have the energy to get going?
Maybe your usual spark just isn’t there. The motivation you want to feel seems far away. And you wonder, What happened to my drive? My purpose? My inspiration?
First—take a breath. You are not doing anything wrong. You’re human. Acknowledge yourself for recognising that this is how you’re feeling. And it’s OK.
So how do we find our way back?
Here’s a gentle roadmap—because beating ourselves back into productivity doesn’t work. But love? That always does.
Begin with compassion, not criticism
It’s tempting to beat ourselves up for not “doing enough.” But judgment is heavy. It slows us down and doesn’t make us feel good. Try this affirmation instead:
“I lovingly release the pressure to perform. I am safe to rest, to listen, and to return when I’m ready.”
Connect to your why.
Motivation often returns when we reconnect with meaning. Ask yourself:
What do I care about? Who am I serving? How does this task align with the life I want to live?
Sometimes we just need to remember why we started.
Tiny steps.
The mountain shrinks when you take one small step.
Don’t aim to “finish the project.” Aim to open the document.
Don’t commit to a full workout. Commit to putting on your shoes.
Momentum grows when you honour the micro-moves.
Let inspiration find you in motion.
We think we need to feel inspired before we act. But often, it’s the act itself—small and imperfect—that invites the inspiration to return.
Talk to yourself like someone you love.
When you’re struggling, would you say to a dear friend: “What’s wrong with you?” Or would you say: “I’m here. You’re not alone. Let’s take this one gentle step at a time.”
Be your own safe space. That’s when your inner light feels safe to shine again.
This week, if you’re feeling stuck or uninspired, know that it’s okay. You don’t have to be on all the time. You don’t have to wait until you “feel ready.” Just come back to your heart. Take the smallest loving step you can. And let that be enough.
With you every gentle step of the way,
