Let’s Talk About Love

Hi Beautiful People,

As I write this week’s blog I am aware that tomorrow is Valentine’s Day.

When I was growing up, I used to dread Valentine’s Day. I would hear all the other girls at school brag about how many Valentine’s cards they had received. And I dreaded anyone asking me how many cards I had received!!

I remember making things up and lying, in order to ‘belong’ and get their approval.

I know they knew I was lying!!

I could feel the anxiety within me building up as we got nearer to Valentine’s Day and the relief I felt when it was over.

I used to feel:

  • Ashamed
  • Embarrassed
  • Not good enough
  • Not pretty enough
  • Not worthy enough
  • Guilty (for lying)
  • Stupid
  • A failure
  • Rejection

As I grew older, it didn’t feel as bad but I did always feel all of the above but managed to hide it better than when I was a teenager.

Even though it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow I do not feel any of the above and haven’t felt this way for a number of years now.

Why?

Because I learned to love myself.

I had no idea that loving myself was even an option.

I always looked to others for love.

I hadn’t a clue that it was possible to give love to myself.

When I really began to learn how to love myself, I began to:

  • Stop worrying what other people would think
  • Stop seeking the approval of others
  • Stop people pleasing
  • Stop beating myself up
  • Stop being unkind to myself
  • Stop feeling guilty
  • Stop feeling ashamed
  • Stop criticising myself
  • Stop treating myself so cruelly

The list is endless.

Loving yourself is the BEST GIFT you could ever give to yourself.

And you absolutely deserve this gift of self-love.

If you would like to give this gift to yourself, then I invite you to join me on the 6th March for 12 days as I take you through the 12 Ways To Love Yourself by Louise Hay. I will be with you live every night to lovingly guide you and support you.

If you are unable to make every session, I will send you a recording of the session so you don’t miss anything.

Let this be the gift you give yourself this Valentine’s.

It’s YOUR time.

Sending you all so much love from my heart to yours.

Lynn
