October is going to be a very special month for me

On 8th October 2026, Louise Hay would have celebrated her 100th birthday.
And I would love to honour this incredible woman by sharing something with you every single day throughout October.
For those of you who know me, you’ll know that Louise Hay and her teachings have been a huge part of my own journey.
Around 15 years ago, when I was struggling and felt as though I was close to having a nervous breakdown, my sister gave me Louise’s book The Power Is Within You.
I remember reading it and crying.
Not because I was sad, but because I felt such an enormous sense of relief.
Relief that perhaps there was another way to live.
That I didn’t have to remain stuck in pain.
That I didn’t have to live as a victim or martyr.
That I could make different choices.
That I could begin to love myself.
It wasn’t an overnight transformation. Far from it.
The work has taken me deep into places within myself that weren’t always comfortable. There have been tears, anger, grief, releasing, difficult truths and what I can only describe as some very dark nights of the soul.
But there has also been healing.
Freedom.
Peace.
Joy.
Compassion.
And a love for myself that I didn’t know was possible.
Louise’s teachings changed my life so profoundly that I wanted to share them with others.
So, in 2011, I travelled to Birmingham to complete my Heal Your Life Teacher Training, followed by Heal Your Life Coaching Training in 2012, and Managing with Heart and Mind training in 2018.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of sharing Louise’s philosophies through workshops, retreats, coaching, courses, meditations and conversations with so many wonderful women.
And that is why October feels like the perfect time to pause and celebrate her legacy.
So, throughout October, I’m going to share 31 days of “I Love Myself Enough…”
One affirmation every day.
And alongside each one, I’ll share some of my own thoughts, experiences, lessons and reflections around what that affirmation has meant to me.
Because self-love isn’t just about saying beautiful words in the mirror.
Sometimes I love myself enough to say no.
Sometimes I love myself enough to walk away.
Sometimes I love myself enough to ask for help.
Sometimes I love myself enough to rest.
And sometimes, perhaps most importantly, I love myself enough to begin again.
These are the lessons I have learned — and continue to learn — through doing this work myself.
So, whether you’ve been following Louise Hay’s teachings for many years, you’re completely new to them, or perhaps you simply need a little more love and kindness towards yourself right now…
I’d love you to join me on my personal facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/lynn.meadowcroft
31 days.
31 affirmations.
31 invitations to love ourselves a little more deeply.
And on 8th October, Louise’s 100th birthday, I’ll be celebrating the remarkable legacy of the woman whose words helped change the direction of my own life.
Thank you, Louise.
Your teachings continue to live on — not just in books, but in the hearts and lives of the people who continue to do the work.
Here’s to 100 years of Louise Hay.
And here’s to continuing to learn that we are, and always have been, worthy of our own love.
Sending you so much love, from my heart to yours.
