When Are You Going to Start Listening to Your Body?

Hi beautiful people,
How many of you tune into your body every day?
If you didn’t answer ‘me’, then I invite you to change that.
Here’s why:
About 14 years ago I was in a manager’s meeting and burst into tears, no one had said or done anything to upset me, I just burst into tears and had no idea why.
It was suggested that I took a week off work, which I did and when I returned to work nothing had changed. I felt the same.
I then saw my GP who gave me a sick note and I was off work for 6 months with work related stress!!
I couldn’t believe it!! Six months!!
I was so poorly!! According to my GP I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
How the hell did that happen?
How had I allowed myself to get into such a state?
Why hadn’t I realized what was going on?
Why did I not see the signs of stress?
I was stressed to the hilt!!
I just kept going and going and going……not taking any time out for myself….not checking in with how I was feeling…..not listening to my body’s messages…..
I was so exhausted.
You see, stress is addictive. Stress releases a chemical called cortisol which is more addictive than heroin!!
And if you look up all the studies that have been done about stress (and there are many), you will discover that stress is the biggest killer!!
Yet people don’t seem to be doing anything about it.
People are burning out all the time!!
People talk about a work/life balance.
I would like to change that to life/work balance.
Why do we put work before life?
Surely that’s the wrong way round? And herein lies the problem.
When did we start making work the be all and end all? When did work become more important to us than our health, our well-being?
Things need to change.
That change rests with us and what we allow.
I NEVER want anyone to go through what I went through. It was a very dark place. Thankfully I managed to get out of that dark place by making time for myself a non-negotiable.
Because I am passionate about not wanting anyone else to go through what I went through, I have created a one day retreat: Queen For a Day.
A chance for you to take that time out for yourself. A day where we will discover your stress triggers, talk about relaxation techniques, meditate, eat delicious home-cooked food, enjoy an afternoon in the hot tub and meditate some more.
You will take home with you a goody bag with items to help you destress once you get home.
Are you ready to give yourself permission to take a day off just for you WITHOUT feeling any guilt?
If your answer is yes, then click on this purple button below to join me and the other women who have already said YES to themselves.

And if you can’t join me, then please make sure you start listening to your body before it’s too late.
Sending you all so much love from my heart to yours.
